Where to buy Silver
Many people, places, dealers, salespersons etc sell or appear to sell silver. You can buy silver from dealers, mints, at auction sites as well as from the jewelry store down the road ir in the shopping mall.
As well as buying the right kind of silver for your needs, whether coins, bars or silver bullion, it is important to ensure that the company or dealer you are buying silver from does not just have a good price but also can be relied upon to actually deliver or ship the silver.
Some of the things you can check are:
How long have they been in business selling silver?
Do they have good cont act details, a fixed address that can be checked?
Are there contact phone and email details? Are they easy to contact or does the phone ring out and no one answers or response to the email.
Do they offer a guarantee? Is the product genuine and is there a guarantee and or warranty?
Do they insure their shipping? Do they give you a tracking ID so you can check on the progress of your shipped silver?
It can be an advantage to establish a link with one individual in the company if you can, especially if you want to buy silver on a regular basis. It is better to have someone you can talk to rather than a faceless 'team'.
It is probably safer to select a large long standing company that has been around for some time and has a clearly outlined and extensive customer service policy. They are members of the Better Business Bureau and other associations in the industry.
Most of the well established companies also have some information about themselves, such as who the principals are in the company and how the company was established and when.
It can also be a good idea to establish two or more companies from which you can buy silver. Especially if you are looking for a particular silver coin for example and one comp-any runs out of stock, then you can turn to another. Also it is good for comparing prices and even negotiating a better price if you know the prices of the two or more companies which you deal.
Keeping an eye on the above principles will help you to know where to buy silver as well as what silver to buy and for how much.
